South Belfast Youth League’s U15 girls secured the Costa Blanca Cup, winning the U16 category without conceding a goal and defeating teams from France, Norway, the USA and Spain. A 2–0 victory over Norsk Spillerutvikling, with goals from Ava Carroll and Abby Magowan, sealed the title, while Madison Kelly earned Player of the Tournament. Head of Football Development Aaron Agnew praised both the U15 and U14 squads, noting the club was also named Best Girls Club of the tournament and highlighting the success of former players now progressing in senior football.

Northern Ireland defender Tom Flanagan announced his retirement after rupturing his Achilles during a routine warm‑up, ending a 17‑year career that included 15 international caps and spells across multiple English leagues. Reflecting on the sudden end to his playing days, he emphasised the fragility of professional football, encouraged young players to value everyday experiences and expressed gratitude to teammates, staff and supporters who shaped his career.
