Hull City remain active in the summer transfer market and are seeking at least five more signings before the September 1 deadline. The club has reportedly made a £4.3 million bid for Torino right-back Marcus Holmgren Pedersen, held talks over Panathinaikos forward Andreas Tetteh at around £21.3 million, and shown interest in Werder Bremen winger Justin Njinmah, Norwich forward Mohamed Toure, Girona midfielder Azzedine Ounahi and Real Betis winger Pablo Garcia. Swansea rejected a £10 million offer for leading Championship scorer Zan Vipotnik, while Eintracht Frankfurt forward Elye Wahi reportedly rejected Hull's proposal. Hull's attacking options have been further weakened by Joe Gelhardt's ankle injury, and former manager Iain Dowie believes the squad needs additional quality—particularly defensively—to have a realistic chance of Premier League survival.

Elye Wahi has rejected Hull City's approach and is prioritising a return to Nice after scoring nine goals during his loan spell there. Eintracht Frankfurt reportedly want nearly £8.5 million for the striker, potentially through a loan with an obligation to buy. Hull manager Sergej Jakirovic remains determined to sign at least one, and possibly two, strikers before the Premier League season begins, as Joe Gelhardt is injured and Oliver McBurnie is the club's only recognised striker following Kyle Joseph's move to Middlesbrough.
