Tesco closing times updated as changes to be made if England reach World Cup final
Tesco will close its Express stores in England at 7:30 p.m. on July 19 if the national team reaches the World Cup final, allowing staff to watch the match while receiving full pay. Larger supermarkets will already be closed due to Sunday hours, while online home‑shopping orders and Whoosh deliveries will continue as normal. Stores in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland will keep their usual schedules. England faces Argentina in the semi-final, with the final scheduled to take place at the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.
