Formula 1 is considering reinstating the Bahrain Grand Prix on the weekend of October 2–4 after earlier cancellations caused by the United States–Israel war with Iran. CEO Stefano Domenicali said the race could be restored if security and logistical conditions allow, with a decision required before the summer break. Adding Bahrain would create several triple‑header stretches to end the season. The final races in Qatar and Abu Dhabi also depend on regional security, though Domenicali remains optimistic they will proceed as scheduled.

Drivers warn that new Formula 1 power unit regulations will significantly diminish the driving experience at Silverstone, with limited battery deployment affecting speed through the circuit’s traditionally fast sections. Lewis Hamilton, Charles Leclerc and Max Verstappen describe expected power loss, reduced cornering challenge and overall lack of excitement, while Fernando Alonso highlights that high‑speed corners will effectively become battery‑charging zones. The layout’s long straights and fast corners are seen as incompatible with the current power systems, making this year’s qualifying and race feel markedly different from past seasons.
