Inside the UK's 'Hidden Hogwarts' Near an Underrated Market Town
Harlaxton Manor, a Grade I-listed 19th-century estate near Grantham in Lincolnshire, combines Elizabethan, Jacobean, Gothic and Baroque architectural influences across 300 acres of parkland and gardens. Owned by the University of Evansville and used as Harlaxton College, the estate is nicknamed “Lincolnshire’s hidden Hogwarts.” It will host a rare public Summer Open House on August 30 and 31, offering visitors access to the manor, gardens, live music and historic surroundings from 10am to 5pm.
