A Birkenhead man, Andy Holland, died at 53 after being diagnosed with bowel cancer that later spread to his liver despite initial signs of treatability. His wife, Cath, describes their journey from diagnosis to his decision to die at home and the emotional impact of his decline. After his death, she experienced severe grief symptoms, sought bereavement support, and became involved with widows’ organisations. She continues to honour Andy’s memory while rebuilding her life and emphasises the importance of speaking openly about grief and lost loved ones.

A mother of three from Warrington transformed a suggestion from a social media message into a thriving business facilitating Vinted sales for clients. After previously receiving Universal Credit, she created a paid service managing listings, storage, and dispatch for customers and now earns up to £2,000 a month. She offers two fixed-price packages and has expanded her storage space twice due to demand. While the work is time‑consuming, she says it fits well around family life and has attracted 180 clients, with ambitions to move into a dedicated premises.
