The £5 book will be sold and signed at Falmouth Town’s Bickland Park clubhouse in aid of Cancer Research UK. Following the collapse of Constantine Football Club, Benney has taken on another managerial role with Speak Out United.

Constantine AFC has withdrawn from the Kernow Kitchens St Piran Football League and will not field a team next season, ending more than a century of football at its Trebarvah ground. The club attributed the decision to insufficient player numbers, rising operating costs, a shortage of volunteers and increasing regulatory demands. Established in 1921, Constantine had a long record of local success, including multiple league and cup victories, and said it hoped football could eventually return to the community.

Eighty-five-year-old Camborne referee Bill Trethewey was highly commended in the 2026 Cornwall County Football Association Match Official of the Year category and received a surprise silver salver recognizing 60 years of service to grassroots football officiating. Referee officer Luke Wilkes presented the award at a ceremony at the Alverton Hotel in Truro, where Trethewey received a standing ovation and praised the event and fellow nominees.

Wendron United Football Club is preparing for a rebuild ahead of the 2026–27 season as several players depart. The club highlights its extensive pathway system, operating multiple adult, veterans, ladies’ and youth teams supported by strong facilities. Managers for each squad level have been named, and leadership emphasizes the club’s rapid growth since 1986 and its history of developing local talent. Training has begun and new players across all sections are invited to join.
