Stranded Cruiser Sparks Rescue Mission at Wells in Norfolk
A Wells RNLI all-weather lifeboat rescued a 26-foot motor cruiser carrying two people after it lost power and began drifting off the north Norfolk coast. A beachgoer with possible head, neck and shoulder injuries was rescued from a remote part of Wells beach at 3:42 p.m. on Sunday. Wells Coastguard Rescue Team used an all-terrain vehicle to reach the casualty, who had already been assessed and treated by Wells RNLI lifeguards. The casualty was transported to Beach Road car park for further medical attention. Rescue teams highlighted the importance of rapid beach access and multi-agency cooperation, and advised the public to call 999 and ask for the Coastguard when someone is in difficulty.
