Firefighter who battled wildfires loses everything as blaze destroys his own family home
A fire destroyed the family home of Phil Morris, a 47-year-old group manager with the Mid and West Wales Fire Service and father of three. After spending his career helping others and battling wildfires across mid Wales, Morris and his family are now facing the loss of nearly all their belongings. The Brecon community launched a JustGiving fundraiser that had raised more than £22,000 to help cover clothing, food, temporary accommodation and other essential costs while the family rebuilds their lives.
