Parents raised concerns about singer Caity Baser’s performance at the Youth Beatz festival in Dumfries, claiming she used explicit language and inappropriate references in front of children. Baser said festival staff told her no censorship was required and apologised for any upset caused. Dumfries and Galloway Council acknowledged receiving a small number of complaints but said overall feedback for the event was positive. The festival, aimed at people aged 12 to 25, drew about 40,000 attendees and featured several major performers.
