London cafe forced to close early by 'dangerous' biker group running riot outside
Ace Cafe London in Stonebridge has repeatedly closed early because groups of motorcyclists gather outside on Friday evenings to perform dangerous stunts, including wheelies and riding a quadbike up the side of a police vehicle. Owner Mark Wilsmore says the behaviour threatens riders, staff and other road users, has damaged the cafe’s trade and requires stronger Metropolitan Police enforcement. The Met says it is reviewing social-media footage to identify offences and used a Section 35 dispersal order on 21 August after reports of antisocial driving, although no arrests were made.

BBC Weather London forecasts 6-day rain downpour in Bank Holiday washout
London is forecast to experience rain or showers on six consecutive days from Wednesday through the Bank Holiday Monday, following a warmer and mainly dry start to the week. BBC Weather predicts thundery downpours, heavy rain and occasional sunshine, with temperatures ranging from around 22°C to 26°C. The Met Office warns that warmer, more humid air could produce 20–30mm of rain in a few hours, with locally higher totals where thunderstorms repeatedly affect the same areas, though the heaviest rainfall locations remain uncertain.
