Teenager to appear before court over alleged support for proscribed organisation
An 18-year-old man arrested after shouting at the public during a bonfire event in the Fountain Estate was charged with wearing clothing indicating support for a proscribed organisation under Section 13 of the Terrorism Act. He allegedly wore a top displaying the name of a banned group and a gun. The case is scheduled for Londonderry Magistrates’ Court on August 5, and the Public Prosecution Service will review the charge.
