UK car firm collapses into liquidation — opened in 2014
Dub Custom Cars Limited, an Essex-based vehicle customisation firm founded in 2014, has entered liquidation, marking another setback for the UK automotive sector. The appointment of liquidators Martin Weller and Glyn Mummery of FRP Advisory was confirmed in the London Gazette, though potential job losses remain unclear. Known for vinyl wrapping, refinishing and performance upgrades on high-end vehicles, the company promoted itself as a leading customisation specialist. The Mirror has sought comment from the firm.

UK haulage firm plunges into liquidation in yet another blow to transport industry
A family-run haulage firm, JKM Transport Solutions Ltd of West Lothian, has entered liquidation, adding to a growing number of transport industry failures linked partly to pressure from the Middle East conflict. The company appointed a liquidator on June 29, with no current information on job losses. Other UK hauliers, including K2B Transportation, Sunhill Transport and training provider ELI Group, have also collapsed this year. The Road Haulage Association warns insolvency rates remain high, with hundreds of businesses already affected and more expected throughout 2026.
