Mar-Vic Cagurangan

Mar-Vic Cagurangan is a journalist based in Tamuning, Guam. She is the publisher and editor of Pacific Island Times. Mar-Vic worked in several media outlets such as the Philippine Daily Globe, Today (Manila), Philippine Free Press, Marianas Variety, Glimpses Publications, Guam Daily Post and Building Industry Magazine Hawaii. She also contributed stories to Business Mirror, Agence France Press, Benar News, The Guardian and the New York Times.

She started her journalism career in 1988 in the Philippines, where she covered the Office of the President, human rights, courts, education and immigration. She currently covers a wide range of topics and current events in Guam and the Western Pacific.

She obtained a degree in Philosophy from the University of the Philippines in Manila.
