Jürgen Klopp reaches agreement to take over as Germany head coach
Jürgen Klopp has reached agreement on key terms to become Germany’s next head coach, with final negotiations pending resolution with his current employer, Red Bull. The DFB expects to complete the deal soon, following Julian Nagelsmann’s immediate departure after Germany’s penalty shootout exit to Paraguay at the World Cup. Klopp, currently heading global soccer for Red Bull and working as a World Cup pundit, has indicated his readiness to take the role despite recent controversy over televised comments about team selection.
