FAQ ansehenAbout Mariam
Producer and fixer based in Tbilisi, Georgia, with extensive experience supporting international journalists, documentary filmmakers, broadcasters, and editorial teams across Georgia and the South Caucasus. I work both independently and in collaboration with Geo Film Production, providing end-to-end local production support, including research, access, editorial development, location scouting, permits, logistics, crew coordination, and on-the-ground production management. Over the years, I have contributed to projects for leading international media, including The New York Times, The New York Times Magazine, Die Zeit and filming projects for BBC Studios, Amazon Prime, Al Jazeera Arabic, France 5 and other international broadcasters and publishers. My work spans editorial journalism, documentary and non-fiction productions, and travel storytelling. I have helped international teams research, access, and produce stories on subjects ranging from politics and current affairs to culture, travel, food, business, and social issues throughout Georgia and the South Caucasus. Alongside production, my background in media, travel, communications and partnerships has helped me build an extensive network across civil society, culture, government, business, academia, and local communities throughout Georgia. Fluent in Georgian and English, I enjoy helping international teams navigate the region and tell accurate, nuanced, and compelling stories.
