Telford street pastors work earlier as club habits change
A decline in late-night clubbing has led Telford Street Pastors to adjust their weekend patrols to earlier hours, with volunteers noting fewer instances of binge drinking and changing nightlife habits. Volunteers such as Vicky Brain and Asha Alex describe offering care, conversation and water to night‑time revellers, particularly during hot weather and World Cup festivities. The group, formed in 2011 and made up of local church members, continues to focus on providing compassion and support to help people stay safe during nights out.
