Thug Who Urinated in His Partner’s Shoes Told Her to ‘Google’ Him to Read About His Violent Past
Benjamin Morgan was sentenced at Hull Crown Court to three and a half years in prison and given a 10-year restraining order after admitting assault causing actual bodily harm, intentional suffocation and controlling and coercive behaviour against his partner. The court heard that he repeatedly humiliated and monitored her, prevented her from leaving, threatened to kill her, assaulted her and suffocated her. She escaped at a pub and alerted staff, who contacted police. Morgan had five previous domestic-abuse convictions against another woman, including two for intentional suffocation, and had been imprisoned in 2024. His barrister cited remorse, alcohol-related problems and plans to change, but the judge ruled that a custodial sentence was necessary.
