Coventry City are reportedly considering further additions before the summer transfer window closes, having already signed Carl Rushworth and Caleb Yirenkyi ahead of their return to the Premier League. AC Milan defender Fikayo Tomori is said to be a target of Frank Lampard, who previously coached him at Chelsea and Derby County, although Newcastle United and Juventus are also interested. Coventry have reportedly enquired about Marseille midfielder Angel Gomes, who is believed to favour a return to the Premier League.

Coventry City have announced the signing of Ghanaian midfielder Caleb Yirenkyi from FC Nordsjaelland on a long-term contract for a reported fee of around £26 million, making him the club’s record signing. The newly promoted Premier League side is also pursuing a return for Gustavo Hamer, with Sheffield United considering an improved offer, while Chelsea winger Mykhailo Mudryk and striker Liam Delap remain possible targets. Coventry have reportedly ended their interest in Göztepe midfielder Anthony Dennis and face competition for Porto left-back Francisco Moura. Manager Frank Lampard says the Premier League challenge will be difficult but that the squad is working to bridge the gap and avoid relegation.
