Viral footage triggered international attention and condemnation, while Middlesbrough second XI captain Rory Cotterill alleged two further instances of cheating during a previous match against Saltburn. Saltburn won the match by 159 runs and currently leads Division Two by 17 points; the club and league have been approached for comment, with the league declining further comment until its investigation is complete.
