A survey of 2,000 UK adults shows that over a third now routinely watch television or films while travelling, often saving their favourite content for commutes, flights or holidays. Many consumers prefer flexible viewing that fits their schedules, with travel offering valuable uninterrupted time. Amazon funds plan to plant 180 million shrubs in area twice size of Birmingham
Amazon is funding the planting of 180 million spekboom shrubs across 200 square miles of degraded land in South Africa’s Eastern Cape as part of its goal to reach net-zero carbon by 2040. The restoration project, conducted with the World Bank and other partners, aims to absorb carbon dioxide, rebuild ecosystems and create around 11,000 jobs by 2030. Spekboom’s drought resilience and ability to restore soil make it central to the effort, which is scheduled to be completed by 2028.
