Students and staff from The Sheffield College raised over £5,500 for Sheffield Hospitals Charity through a series of fundraising activities following the start of a two‑year partnership. Events ranged from completing the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge to creating and selling homemade goods, hosting fitness activities, and organizing sponsored walks. The partnership aims to support NHS services in Sheffield while giving students opportunities to build confidence and employability skills, with further fundraising planned through the upcoming Sheffield 10k.

Music students Lennon Parks and Jonathan Campbell, who formed the band Riviera while studying at The Sheffield College, secured a slot to perform on the Open Arms stage at Tramlines through the festival’s Apply to Play scheme. The opportunity, selected by industry experts and public voting, marks their largest performance to date as they continue developing their skills and working on an album.
