His brother Tom asked fellow fans to join the tribute, recalling their final trip together to see Villa’s Europa League victory in Istanbul and emphasizing Guy’s warm, generous nature and attention to detail. Family and friends plan to attend the match wearing the shirts and scarves from their last outing together.

An 11-year-old Aston Villa fan, Ted Haslam, completed the Three Peaks Challenge in a wheelchair and encountered Princess Kate multiple times during the climb. Ted, who was paralysed after a childhood cancer diagnosis, undertook the challenge with a team supporting the Molly Olly's Wishes charity. Kate stopped to talk with the group on two mountains, offering encouragement during harsh weather conditions. Ted’s efforts followed earlier charity events by his family, and he received a supportive message from Villa player Emi Buendia before the challenge.
