Adam Frost names problem plant that doesn't recover well in heat
Adam Frost explained that sweet peas often become spindly in hot weather and may not recover well if they miss sufficient watering for even a short period. He advised starting them around Christmas for stronger growth and noted that inconsistent early weather contributed to recent issues. Gardening guidance from Gardeners' World recommends sowing sweet peas between October and April and maintaining them by frequent picking and removing spent blooms. Frost also reflected on leaving behind a cherished garden after moving house, saying he brought only a few divided plants and pots and was pleased to see the new owners enjoying it.
