I tried seven supermarket instant coffees and found one nicer than Nescafé
Matt Davies compared seven supermarket instant coffees with Nescafé Original on flavour, aroma, strength, texture and price. Marks & Spencer’s Rich and Smooth Instant Coffee won with 9 out of 10, narrowly beating Nescafé’s 8.5. Sainsbury’s ranked third, followed by Aldi, Lidl, Asda, Tesco and Morrisons, with the latter two receiving the lowest scores of 5.5. The results suggest that several cheaper supermarket coffees can compete with, or surpass, the leading branded product.
