Sunderland complete third summer signing as Florent Ghisolfi explains Jules Ahoka deal
Sunderland have signed 20-year-old DR Congo midfielder Jules Ahoka from Royal Antwerp for a fee understood to be around £8.6 million. Ahoka has reportedly agreed a five-year contract and will wear number 29, becoming the club’s third summer arrival after Thomas Meunier and Dayann Mathalie. Sporting director Florent Ghisolfi said Sunderland had tracked Ahoka for some time and praised his physicality, defensive ability, mentality and potential. Ahoka said he was proud to join the club and eager to develop and contribute ahead of Sunderland’s Europa League campaign.
