Four men in their 20s killed in horrific car crash after car hits lamppost
Four men aged 23, 24 and 26 were killed when a black SEAT Cupra left Liverpool Road in Huyton and struck a lamppost shortly before 2am on July 24. A 27-year-old passenger was hospitalized in stable condition. Merseyside Police launched a serious collision investigation, closed nearby roads, and imposed a temporary drone restriction while appealing for witnesses and doorbell footage.

Liverpool mum told she has two years to live after terminal lung cancer diagnosis
A 29-year-old Liverpool woman, Thouhida “Tia” Chowdhury, learned she had terminal lung cancer while 14 weeks pregnant, leaving her with an expected two to three years to live. After months in hospital and chemotherapy, her daughter Isabella was born prematurely at 30 weeks and remains in neonatal care. Tia and her husband Lewis are focusing on creating lasting memories for their daughter while facing significant emotional and financial strain, including medical expenses and home adaptations. Family members have launched fundraising efforts to support them in the coming months.
