Nationwide is installing publicly accessible defibrillators and bleed control kits at all 605 of its UK branches, with the rollout targeted for completion by the end of the year. More than 225 kits have already been installed and defibrillators have reportedly been used in 48 emergencies. The equipment is being provided in partnership with Visa, while St John Ambulance is training Nationwide staff and helping deliver public sessions to improve confidence in using the kits. Access is generally available 24 hours a day, except at branches in shopping centres, where availability is limited to opening hours.
