Tribute to Falmouth and Cornwall cricket legend David Toseland
David Toseland, a Falmouth and Cornwall cricket great, has died at the age of 73 following illness. A one-club Falmouth player and longtime club figure, he helped the team win five County titles and four Vinter Cups, while compiling 162 Cornwall Championship appearances, 440 wickets and a county-record-level career spanning the 1970s through the 1990s. Tributes from the Cornwall Cricket League and Falmouth Cricket Club praised his patience, skill, sportsmanship and loyalty. In January 2025, Falmouth Cricket Club renamed its Trescobeas gate end in his honor.
