Kingswood High Street regeneration: Things you need to know
A regeneration project has begun in Kingswood, Bristol, funded by more than £3 million from the West of England Combined Authority, the National Lottery Heritage Fund and South Gloucestershire Council. The first phase will restore shopfronts on Regent Street, refurbish public toilets and improve roads and walkways, with new seating, planting, art, murals and a refurbished clock tower. Kingswood Park will receive a £2.67 million upgrade including a new play area, improved accessibility, a mobile café, modern toilets, a drinking-water station and an expanded amphitheatre. Work is expected to continue through the end of 2027, with councillors saying the improvements will create a more attractive town centre and demonstrate investment in local residents.
