St Cross Symondians could effectively secure a second consecutive ECB Southern Premier League title, and their fourth in nine seasons, by defeating South Wilts in the upcoming 50-over fixture. They hold a 29-point overall lead after winning the Time pennant by 66 points. Confidence is high after St Cross beat Portsmouth by 211 runs, while South Wilts routed Bournemouth by nine wickets. Felix Organ top-scored for St Cross with 75, Jack Bransgrove made 66, Byron Langley took 3-17 and Charlie Gwynn claimed 4-7 as Portsmouth were dismissed for 65.

St Cross Symondians moved to the top of the ECB Southern Premier League at the season’s midpoint after a five‑wicket win over Alton. Strong bowling from Felix Organ, Charlie Gwynn and Dom Kelly restricted Alton to 190, and a composed chase led by Organ, supported by Harry Trussler, Gareth Schreuder and Gwynn, secured victory to give the champions a seven‑point lead after rivals South Wilts and Burridge both suffered defeats.

Bashley captain Michael Porter set a new ECB Southern Premier League record with a 36‑ball century featuring nine sixes and eight fours during a rapid partnership with Patrick Lewis, who also hit 112. Jack Stearman added 87 as Bashley declared at 371‑4 before the match concluded in a draw, with Sarisbury Athletic responding with 273‑6, led by Nathaniel Hlabangana’s 116.
