Milorad Ivanović is editor-in-chief of BIRN Serbia, the award-winning investigative outlet of the Balkan Investigative Reporting Network. He previously served as editor-in-chief of Newsweek Serbia, executive editor of Novi Magazin, and deputy editor-in-chief of the Belgrade daily Blic. He is currently a visiting lecturer at Masaryk University in Brno, where he teaches investigative journalism and a course on “Trauma and Media,” as well as a lecturer in in the Department of Media Studies in the University of Belgrade’s Faculty of Political Sciences, where he teaches “Using Artificial Intelligence in Newsrooms,” a three-month course he co-founded. Ivanović is also a co-founder of the Global Investigative Journalism Network—the world’s largest gathering of investigative reporters—and of European Investigative Collaborations, a network of leading European media outlets. His research interests include the use of artificial intelligence in journalism and its ethical dilemmas, journalists’ mental health, live journalism, and Russian propaganda
