Dudley MP Sonia Kumar is urging residents to record their organ-donation decisions and discuss them with their families. NHS Blood and Transplant figures show that 28 people in Dudley were waiting for a transplant as of August 10, 2026, while five local residents received transplants during 2025/26. Nationally, 8,296 patients, including 241 children, were on the active UK transplant waiting list on March 31, 2026, the highest figure on record. Kumar also invited local people with personal experience of donation or transplantation to share their stories.
