Kaiya Fraser won the Coral Vintage Stakes at Goodwood aboard the unbeaten Dr Rascal, producing a confident ride to pass through a narrow gap and beat Haffner by half a length. The victory marked Fraser’s first Group win and trainer Oliver Cole’s first success in the race, following three previous wins by his father Paul. Cole said Dr Rascal could target the Dewhurst Stakes, while stewards ruled that Fraser had taken a legitimate gap.

James Owen secured a treble at Market Rasen, led by High Fibre’s victory in the Betway Summer Handicap Hurdle. Gordon Elliott’s Master Haku won the Novices’ Hurdle under Sean Bowen, who also guided High Fibre. Owen added further wins through No More Bolero and Oneinthewell, while other races saw victories for Giovanni Change and Mr McWhinney on a successful day of racing.

Queensbury Boy won the Betway Summer Plate Handicap Chase at Market Rasen, extending the Bowen family’s strong record in the race. Trained by Mickey Bowen and ridden by his brother James, the horse closed strongly to beat favourite Kingston Narcissus by a neck. Mickey Bowen credited his father Peter for encouraging him to run the horse, noting that other stable entries were hindered by inexperience or race incidents. Purchased from David Maxwell’s dispersal, Queensbury Boy delivered on long‑shown potential.
