The International Criminal Court’s Assembly of States Parties voted by a large majority to remove chief prosecutor Karim Khan, the first such removal in the court’s history. Venezuela announced its withdrawal from the court after the vote, citing alleged bias against the Global South. The removal does not immediately affect the arrest warrants for Benjamin Netanyahu and Yoav Gallant, which can only be withdrawn by ICC judges.
