‘Rapist monster’ who targeted women on dating apps said he ‘couldn’t stop himself’
Muhammad Ans, 29, was convicted at Plymouth Crown Court of four rapes against three women he met through Bumble, Badoo and Tinder between 2023 and 2025. He was sentenced to 20 years in prison, followed by three years on extended licence, and must register as a sex offender for life. The court heard that Ans raped the women after arranging dates and later apologised, claimed he could not stop himself, or offered money and gifts in attempts to prevent them from reporting him. Police discovered evidence linking him to the first victim while examining his phone. The victims described lasting psychological trauma, while the judge criticised Ans’s failure to acknowledge his criminal behaviour and his single-minded pursuit of sexual gratification.
