Boeing says Riyadh Air partnership marks new chapter in Saudi relationship
Saudi Arabia is positioned as one of Boeing’s fastest‑growing markets, driven by major investments in airports, tourism and logistics under Saudi Vision 2030. Boeing Saudi Arabia president Asaad Aljomoai said the launch of Riyadh Air marks a new phase in an eight‑decade partnership, with the 787 Dreamliner central to the carrier’s plan to reach more than 100 destinations by 2030. Boeing’s work now extends to training national talent, engineering, digital services and research collaborations, including a SkyGrid feasibility study on advanced air mobility technologies with the General Authority of Civil Aviation and KAUST. Aljomoai said Boeing will continue aircraft deliveries as scheduled and emphasized that the partnership aims to support long‑term economic sustainability and elevate Saudi Arabia’s role as a global aviation hub.
