This 'friendly loner' with 'two lower teeth' died mysteriously 40 years ago - cops think they have a key clue
Police and amateur investigators are seeking to identify a man found hanging in Coronation Wood near Lichfield in 1987. The unidentified man was in his mid-50s, spoke English with a strong Eastern European or possibly Russian accent, and was notable for having only two lower teeth. A new appeal suggests he may have used Friary School’s swimming pool, while a key bearing a number 6 found among his possessions could have been a locker key. Staffordshire Police and Locate International are asking former swimmers, staff, betting-shop customers and anyone with photographs or memories of a similar man to provide information that could resolve the nearly 40-year-old case.
