Funeral held for M9 crash victim Jeremy O'Brien - 'no words for this sadness'
Jeremy O'Brien, 18, from Carlow, was buried after a funeral Mass at the Holy Family Church in Askea following the August 22 M9 crash that killed him and four other teenagers. The service acknowledged that the BMW was travelling on the wrong side of the motorway while urging mourners not to let the circumstances eclipse the victims' lives. Three women and a seven-year-old boy in the other vehicle remain seriously injured, while families, medical staff and emergency responders continue to face the consequences of the collision.
