Bindweed will 'dry out' and not grow back if you do easy task this month
Bindweed can spread rapidly and overwhelm nearby plants because of its deep, extensive root system. Gardening specialist Simon Akeroyd advises removing the entire root system, placing the roots on chicken wire rather than directly in compost, and leaving them to dry for several weeks before composting them. This is intended to kill the roots and prevent the weed from regrowing.
