Derbyshire police officer sacked for kissing colleague and telling them to 'send nudes'
A Derbyshire acting sergeant was dismissed without notice after a misconduct panel found that he kissed a female colleague twice without consent and sent another colleague an unwanted WhatsApp message asking her to send nude images, followed by an abusive insult when she refused. The panel deemed the conduct serious breaches of professional standards and concluded that it amounted to two sexual assaults, while noting medical evidence of the officer's mental ill health but a lack of remorse. The officer was anonymised for medical reasons, will be placed on the police barred list, and the case was reviewed but did not meet the threshold for a criminal investigation.
