Nusrat Rahman

Hi, I’m Nusrat Rahman – a media educator, PhD researcher, and a photographer with a love for stories that matter.

Right now, I’m teaching part-time at a Private International University while working on my PhD in Mass Communication. My academic roots are in Computer Science and Engineering, and I later pursued a Master’s in Media. That combination has really shaped the way I approach storytelling—blending structure with creativity.

I’m always open to collaborating with international journalists, filmmakers, and creative teams, especially on documentaries in Bangladesh. I’m passionate about topics like women’s and children’s rights, journalism, and experimental documentary formats (like doc-fusion). Of course, I believe every collaboration should honor our local laws, cultural values, and religious sensitivities.

On the visual side, photography is one of my biggest passions. Over the years, I’ve been lucky to have my work featured by a wide range of respected names—The Jakarta Post, Daily Mail UK, CNN-Turkey, Emirates, WHO India, Pan Pacific Hotels, Reader’s Digest, Times Union, Gulf Air, and many others.

Whether it’s behind a camera or in a classroom, I’m here to tell honest stories with heart.
