My name is Olena Holoborodko (creative pseudonym Eva Mironova). I am a regional correspondent for the Kyiv-based TV channel Rada. I live and work in the frontline city of Zaporizhzhia. Almost every day Russia fires dozens of missiles of various calibers at our city. Over the past year, we have hundreds of dead and wounded civilians, residential and industrial buildings have been destroyed. Every week I film stories and produce live broadcasts in small towns several kilometers next to the frontline. We deliver humanitarian aid to people living in the basements of houses that are constantly shelled by Russian artillery. Interviewing and filming in these places is always equal to working in constant danger conditions. From time to time I work in neighboring areas of Donetsk region and Kherson region. Communicating with IDPs who have managed to move to the government-controlled areas allows me to cover the daily agenda of the occupied territories. Currently, 70 percent of Zaporizhzhia region is under Russian occupation, including the world's third largest nuclear power plant, and the residents of these territories more than ever need attention to the problems created by the Russian military occupation authorities in their native communities. In addition to my main activity of the correspondent, I also take photos of tragic events I witness during my journalistic work. I communicate with people who live without any benefits of civilization - water, gas and electricity. Our continuous informational support of these citizens of Ukraine and the attention of the free world help them to persevere, to support each other and to fight persistently for a peaceful future for their country.
