Six in 10 put off improving their lives because it feels too much work
A OnePoll survey of 2,000 UK adults found that six in 10 have delayed improvements to their homes, careers or personal lives because they viewed them as too difficult or time-consuming. Commonly postponed tasks included starting fitness routines, changing jobs, decluttering, repairs and improving energy efficiency. Among those who eventually acted, 70% reported unexpected benefits and 64% wished they had started sooner. The research, commissioned by Smart Energy GB and supported by Anna Richardson, highlights reluctance to adopt smart meters and other energy-saving measures, with many respondents regretting delayed action because of higher costs, wasted energy or added stress.
