A helicopter operated by Bellavia Aviation Services crashed near the heliport on the Greek island of Sifnos while approaching its landing pad on August 17, killing all three people aboard. Witnesses reportedly heard an unusual sound before the aircraft fell and erupted into flames. Local reports said two victims were a British couple on their honeymoon, while the third was believed to be an experienced pilot and father of three with a military background. Greek emergency services recovered the bodies after extinguishing the fire.
