Mum and dad die three months apart after separate work tragedies
Siblings in south Manchester are mourning the deaths of both parents, Sharon and Darren Todd, within three months of each other. Sharon, 48, suffered a cardiac arrest at work and died on April 6 after doctors confirmed brain death; her organs were donated to two recipients. Darren died on July 16 after severing a leg artery while operating a forklift at work and suffering a heart attack during emergency surgery. The couple’s 17- and 23-year-old children have requested privacy, while family friend Shelbie Wells established a GoFundMe appeal to help with their living, accommodation and travel costs.

Four Men Killed in Major Crash in Huyton
Four men aged 23, 24 and 26 died at the scene after a black SEAT Cupra crashed into a lamppost on Liverpool Road in Huyton shortly before 2 a.m. A 27-year-old passenger remains in hospital in stable condition. Merseyside Police are investigating, with road closures expected to continue through the weekend and a temporary drone restriction in place. Officers are appealing for witnesses, doorbell footage and other information.

Man charged after allegations of upskirting in Liverpool city centre

Married at First Sight UK cast member arrested on suspicion of rape
A Married at First Sight UK cast member was arrested in June on suspicion of rape following allegations made in a BBC Panorama investigation.
