Derbyshire Couple’s Desperate Plea After Spending £50,000 Trying to Become Parents
Derbyshire couple Molly Eagles and Matthew Crowe have spent around £50,000 on IVF, embryo creation, surrogacy and related legal and medical costs while trying to become parents. Molly has Mayer-Rokitansky-Küster-Hauser syndrome, meaning she was born without a uterus and cannot carry a pregnancy. After two rounds of embryo creation, an unsuccessful transfer and the loss of a baby with a previous surrogate, the couple is raising funds to create five PGT-A-tested embryos, which are required for potential eligibility for a uterus transplant in Oxford. They may otherwise continue their surrogacy journey, but further testing, treatment, travel and accommodation costs remain unaffordable.
