OSEMA SENOUCI, a video correspondent at france24, produces news narrative-driven stories, short documentaries and character-driven stories for France24 Arabic and English. He’s also produced for DZAIR NEWS; an Algerian news channel. His work has been widely recognized for both reporting and visual storytelling. SENOUCI currently lives in Algiers and covers stories in Algeria and neighboring countries Tunisia and Morocco. Since joining France24, as a video correspondent, SENOUCI has covered such wide-ranging topics as Algeria’s public protests against the regime, the presidential elections in December 2019, the cholera epidemic in August 2018, in addition to some high profile political and economic international seminars. Before coming to France24, he was a video reporter and news presenter at an Algerian private channel. SENOUCI covered stories of Algerian international business delegations to the United Kingdom, India and Germany, and reported from various locations. SENOUCI also teaches video journalism. He served as video journalism instructor and has taught courses at the ALMAS training center in Algiers. Born in 1989, SENOUCI grew up in M’sila province, Algeria. He studied English language and arts at the University of Algiers, and filmmaking at the Algerian national institute of audiovisual arts. Before infiltrating the field of video journalism, SENOUCI worked as a teacher of English at a private school.
