A woman was taken to hospital after jellyfish tentacles came into contact with her eye while she was retrieving a line from a yacht off Moelfre Bay, Anglesey. Moelfre RNLI brought her ashore and assessed her before she travelled by taxi to Ysbyty Gwynedd in Bangor, where staff checked for remaining debris and provided further treatment.

Eighteen-year-old Dyfan Hughes was seriously injured in an accident in China while taking part in a 6,000-mile charity bike ride from Wrexham to Chiang Mai, Thailand. He suffered head, neck and leg injuries but is in a stable condition. His friends Louis Dennis and James Thomas said they would remain together and continue the journey when possible. The trio have raised more than £48,000 for the British Heart Foundation, toward a £50,000 target in memory of Tony Edge.
