Thousands of people attended Nottingham's 29th annual Pride celebration, themed “bolder and brighter.” The free event featured a march through the city centre, expanded family activities, performance stages and events in Sneinton Market and the Rainbow Quarter in Hockley. Organised by the volunteer-run Notts Pride charity, the festival promotes LGBTQ+ visibility, education, equality and inclusion while challenging discrimination across Nottinghamshire.

Drones stored trackside and remotely operated from London are being deployed in Leicester to locate reported rail trespassers more quickly and safely. Network Rail and British Transport Police say the system reduces delays and avoids putting staff at risk, with hopes to expand to additional sites.
